The Amateur Players Tour Western Kentucky Chapter hosted the Silos Championship on Saturday, July 25, at Silos Golf and Country Club in Kevil, Kentucky. Thank you to Bob, Smokey, and the Silos maintenance and kitchen staff for supporting the event. In Division 1, Norm Field shot 78 to earn his second win, ahead of Kobe Allen (82) and Rodney Jackson (85). Steven Todd claimed his first victory with an 84 in Division 2. In Division 3, Mike Washburn of the Kentucky Tour fired an 80 to beat Dana Moore of the Memphis Tour (86) and Bryan Packer (90). Mark Smith of the St. Louis Tour moved up to Division 4 and continued his strong play in Western Kentucky, shooting 88 to finish ahead of Nick Johnson (93) and Mickey Baker (98). David Crockett carded 103 to capture his second Western Kentuckywin in Division 5. In Mid-Am Net, Nick Johnson shot 79 to continue his winning streak, edging Kobe Allen (82). Senior Net came down to a scorecard playoff after Mark Smith and Dana Moore each shot 75;Smith prevailed for his fifth Western Kentucky victory, with Moore second, followed by Bryan Packer and Mickey Baker.
