The Amateur Players Tour St. Louis visited Orchards Golf Club in Belleville, Illinois for The Loading Dock Summer Stableford. Founded in 1991, The Orchards Golf Club in Belleville, Illinois features a 18 hole championship style golf course. The golf course was designed by former Masters winner Bob Goalby who is from the Belleville, IL area.
In Division 1, Jayson Hoadgland of Wright City, MO shot 8 over-par 79 scoring 33 points taking home a 3rd place finish. Just getting the edge on Hoagland was Evan Kaye shooting 6 over-par 77 scoring 34 points for fall into 2nd place. Matt Minder ran away with the Division 1 competition shooting 1 over-par 72 scoring 39 points to be crowned champion.
In Division 2, Greg Garrett shot 5 over-par 76 scoring 32 points to take home a 3rd place finish. Marco Tallerico shot 7 over-par 78 scoring 33 points to finish in 2nd place. Chad Crawford of Wentzville, MO was crowned champion shooting 2 over-par 73 scoring 38 points. Greg Garrett was crowned the Division 2 Senior champion.
In Division 3, we had a sudden death playoff to see who would be crowned the Division 3 champion and Division 3 Senior champion. The playoff was between Dallas Cook, Jason Stone, and Simay Souvannarath. It was a one-hole playoff. Dallas Cook finished in 3rd with bogey on the playoff hole. Simay Souvannarath finished in 2nd with a par. Jason Stone chalked up his first win of the 2023 season with getting a birdie on the hole to be crowned the Division 3 and Division 3 Senior champion.
In Division 4, Jason Thuet and Rei Nakamura tied for 3rd scoring 23 points. Thuet shot 14 over-par 85 and Nakamura shot 13 over-par 84. Dauffus Jackson of St. Peters, MO took home a 2nd place finish shooting 12 over-par 83 scoring 25 points. Dolly Buenaventura was crowned the Division 4 and Division 4 Senior champion shooting 12 over-par 83 scoring 26 points.
In Division 5, Mark Galentine came in 3rd place shooting 21 over-par 92 scoring 17 points. Kevin Brown shot 18 over-par 89 scoring 18 points to take home a 2nd place finish and was crowned champion for the Division 5 Senior competition. Stevie Frank was crowned champion shooting 12 over-par 83 scoring 25 points.
