On Sunday, the St. Louis chapter made a trip to The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in Chesterfield, for a sold-out 128 player golf tournament.  Meridian Contracting, led by Ryan Crow and Marco Tallerico, sponsored the event and added an additional $1,000 to the prize pool.  Autohaus BMW was on site, with the 2024 BMW i4 M50 and the all-new 2025 MINI Countryman on display for the players.  Great weather and perfect scoring conditions would see some low scores as the St. Louis chapter hit the midway point for the Autohaus BMW St. Louis Local Player of the Year.

In Division 1, birdies would be a plentiful as John Todd started out on fire, with an eagle and 3 birdies on the opening nine to turn in 30.  However, Dylan Davidson stayed hot on the back nine, with 3 birdies of his own to post 3-under 68 and earn a one-shot victory over John Todd, who finished in solo 2nd place at 2-under par.  3rd place honors went to Michael Flynn, who continued his good form with a 1-under par 70.  On the senior side, John Todd earned the victory and extended his lead in the GlobalGolf.com Senior National Player of the Year Race with his 2-under par round to best Michael Clark, who shot a 4-over 75 to finish in second place.

In Division 2, Eric Schaetty led the way with a 4-over par 75 that featured an even-par stretch over the last 10 holes to earn a one-shot victory over a crowded field of 4 players who finished just one shot back at 5-over 76.  David Adams, Eric Fogleman, James Sills and Stuart Pryor each finished tied for 2nd just one shot back.  Todd Feuerhaken, Mikie Rybak, and Joe Blandina finished just 2 shots back with rounds of 77.  On the senior side, Todd Feuerhaken returned to the winner’s circle with a one-shot victory over Lance Davidson and Jim Billadeau.

In Division 3, Mark Ralph had been knocking on the door to get his elusive first victory, with 3 second place finishes so far in the 2024 season.  A stellar 6-over par 77 would get the job done, earning a one shot victory over Simay Souvannarath and Tony Quartuccio who finished tied for 2nd with 78.  Christian Benavides finished in 4th place with a round of 79, while Tim Leonberger continued his solid play as of late in 5th place with an 80. 6th place went to Fahaaj MuQeemand Paul Wilson with rounds of 10-over par 81.  On the senior side, Mark Ralph finished off the double-dip with his impressive 77, besting 2023 GlobalGolf.com Senior Player of the Year Simay Souvannarath by one shot.  Tim Leonberger finished in 3rd place with an 80.

Division 4 would see two great rounds out of Jason Thuet and Christopher Shaw, who stood tied at 8-over par 79 at the end of regulation.  As the course would not allow an on-course playoff, the results would remain tied.  Baxton Owen finished in 3rd place with an 82, while Stevie Frank finished in 4th place with an 83.  Toby Chrzanowski rounded out the top 5 with a solid round of 84.  Chrzanowski would also win the senior division, marking his return to the winners circle, besting Dave Draucker by one shot.  Dolly Buenaventura and Sudhakar Injamuri tied for 3rd with rounds of 86.

Division 5 would need extra holes to determine an outright champion, but a playoff was unavailable from the golf course.  Pat Callihan and Esther Flora both played some great golf, finishing tied for the lead with impressive rounds of 90.  William Heritage finished just one shot off the pace with a 91, while Chris Brockmeyer shot a 92 to finish 4thSelena Droce picked up some valuable Player of the Year points with a 5th place finish and a 93.  On the senior side, Pat Callihan and Esther Flora would tie for the championship.  Chris Brockmeyer  finished in 3rd place.

In Open Net, the day belonged to John Todd, who used a 5-under par front 9 gross (net 28) to shoot a 5-under net 66 and earn a 2-shot victory over a crowded field.  Marco Tallerico, Tony Quartuccio, Toby Chrzanowski, and Christopher Shaw each shot 3-under net to finish tied for second place. From here, the Tour moves to the popular Gateway National Golf Links on Monday, July 1st before taking a break for the Independence Open at Big Cedar Lodge.  Monday will be the last chance to earn valuable Autohaus BMW St. Louis Local Player of the Year Points before Priority Exemptions are finalized for the 2024 North American Championships.  Registration for Priority Exempt Players will open on July 9th, with registration opening to all APT members on August 1st.
