Indianapolis Amateur Players Tour – The Trophy Club Recap
Lebanon, Indiana
Despite the persistent rain and soggy conditions, the Indianapolis Amateur Players Tour made a memorable stop at The Trophy Club in Lebanon, Indiana. The challenging layout and unpredictable weather couldn’t dampen the competitive spirit, as players across all divisions delivered impressive performances on one of Indiana’s finest tracks.
Division 1
It was a tight race at the top, but George Hoskins Jr. rose to the occasion and claimed his first win of the season with a gritty round of 78. Hoskins edged out Adam Taylor, who stayed in the hunt all day before finishing one shot back at 79. It was a well-earned victory for Hoskins Jr. in tough conditions.
Division 2
The battle in Division 2 came down to the wire, with Cole Thomas emerging victorious after carding an 83. Thomas’s steady play proved just enough to secure the win in a tightly contested division.
Division 3
John Blackburn put on a show in Division 3, firing a personal best 77 to cruise to victory. While John Goddard made a valiant effort with an 84, Blackburn’s strong play created too much separation. It was a dominant performance and a well-deserved win for Blackburn.
Division 4
It’s now back-to-back victories for Shannon Sageser, who continued his winning form with a solid 90. Sageser fended off Ben Morris (93) by three strokes to secure the hardware. With momentum on his side, Sageser is becoming a name to watch on tour.
Division 5

Senior Net
John Blackburn wasn’t done after his Division 3 win—he doubled up with a sensational 5-under-par 67 to take the Senior Net title as well. Jimmy Schlink (73) and Shannon Sageser (75) rounded out the podium with solid finishes of their own.
