Tournament Champions
The Charleston Amateur Players Tour made the trip north this past weekend to beautiful Santee, SC for its tournament at Lake Marion Golf Club. Saturday made for an ideal day on the course, as competitors enjoyed the spring weather and mild wind.
Lake Marion, which first opened in 1978, continues to draw golfers from across the region with its consistently well-maintained Miniverde greens and scenic layout. Designed by Eddie Riccoboni, the course presents a balanced challenge, featuring pine-lined fairways, water hazards along the lakes, and 47 strategically placed sand bunkers. Its fair yet demanding design makes it enjoyable for players of all skill levels.
The Charleston Amateur Players Tour brings competitive golf to courses throughout the Lowcountry, giving participants the opportunity to compete in one of five different divisions based on skill level. Each event, division winners are awarded cash and VISA gift card prizes as the tour also runs an optional cash skins game.
