This week brought the Wichita APT to Dodge City, KS and a beautiful track in Mariah Hills Golf Course! Course was in amazing shape, greens were fast and challenging! A lot of close races through the day!
D1 – This went back and forth all day. Kipp Jones has been stellar all year and had a tough lip out on 18. This created a playoff with Zach Eck. Zack ended up coming away with the W after an unbelievable approach shot through a small window in the trees and draining a crazy 25-30′, bending putt for his first birdie on the day to take the W! Was a lot of fun golf to watch those two all day!
D2 – Will Grimmett leading most of the day. Newcomer, Josh Dockery stayed steady par/bogey golf on the back 9, to claim victory over Will.
D3 – A lot of course knowledge played well for this match up where Verl and Chencho were pretty close all day long. Verl outlasted and took the victory from Chencho with a tourney low +4 on the day. Chencho had the highlight of the day, scoring 3 birdies in a row on 5, 6 and 7. That solidified him winning the Mid-Am Net for the day.
D4 – Tracy Hanback got into the pockets of 10 players during a fun practice round on Friday with a great round. Tracy then shot one stroke higher and took the D4 win by 4 strokes! Solid golf.
D5 – Kaiden Jensen, one year into golf and graduating this past Wednesday night get the win. Proving that the Wichita APT welcomes all levels of golf!
Very proud of all the players at the event making Kaiden feel welcomed and part of the Wichita APT family!
