Yesterday’s golf tournament gave us our first true taste of summer golf this season, with temperatures climbing into the 80s and humidity pushing the heat index well into the 90s. It was a hot one from start to finish, and staying hydrated was just as important as making putts. Thankfully, players came prepared, and plenty of water was a must throughout the day.
Timber Trace was in phenomenal condition and received compliments from players throughout the entire day. From tee to green, the course provided a great test for the field while still making for an enjoyable and competitive round of golf.
It was great to finally have a beautiful weather day after a long start to the season. The atmosphere was outstanding, the pace of play moved smoothly, and it was awesome seeing so many golfers out enjoying competitive golf in true summer-like conditions.
