Clash At The Fields Tournament Recap

The 2026 Clash At The Fields delivered a full day of competitive golf, dramatic finishes, and challenging summer conditions as players battled through stroke-play competition across five divisions.
With temperatures climbing into the mid-80s and humidity building throughout the day, endurance became just as important as execution. Competitors relied on plenty of water, Gatorade, and determination to navigate the demanding conditions while chasing division titles.
The most dramatic finish of the day came in Division 1, where the championship required a playoff after an intense battle atop the leaderboard. On the first playoff hole, Adam Morehouse delivered the shot of the tournament, sticking a 7-iron to five feet to defeat Caden Bowling and capture the Division 1 title.
Division 2 belonged to Will Gerken, who turned in one of the strongest performances of the day. His impressive round of 80 separated him from the field and secured the division championship.
In Division 3, multi-time winner Steve Bach once again demonstrated why he is one of the chapter’s most consistent competitors, adding another victory to his growing list of accomplishments.
Division 4 provided plenty of late-round excitement, with the outcome remaining in doubt until the final hole. When the dust settled, Mike Wright emerged victorious after holding off the competition in a thrilling finish.
The battle in Division 5 was among the most competitive contests of the tournament. Multiple ties throughout the day kept the leaderboard in constant flux before multi-time winner Kyle Sisson ultimately prevailed. Sisson held off visiting competitor Roger Eberlein of the St. Louis Chapter to secure the division championship following a hard-fought back-and-forth battle.
In addition to the division champions, two net champions were recognized for their outstanding performances. Zach Walker of the Columbus Chapter earned Mid-Am Net Champion honors, while fellow Columbus Chapter member Rick Williamson claimed the Senior Net Championship, giving the visiting chapter a pair of impressive victories.
From playoff drama to final-hole heroics, the 2026 Clash At The Fields showcased the competitive spirit of the chapter and produced memorable moments across every division. Congratulations to all of our champions and participants for battling both the course and the summer heat.
