The Colonial Williamsburg Birthday Bash was held at the beautiful Golden Horseshoe Green and Gold Courses. Saturday was a beautiful but hot day. In Division 1, newcomer Trent Willis opened the weekend with a one over 73 on the Green Course. The trio of Shane Studer, Sean Heath and CJ Szuba all fired 76s to go into Sunday 3 shots back.
Trent went wire to wire with a 75 on Sunday to hold off Shane Studer by 1 shot and capture his membership and the first place trophy. Sean Heath finished 6 back in 3rd.
Chad Davis set a new personal best with a 74 on Saturday to take a 3 shot lead over Mike Vawter and a 4 shot lead over Christian Alderucci. On Sunday, Chad posted an 80 to capture a 6-shot victory over surging Chris Denz who fired a 75 under rainy, wet conditions.
Carl Reddix was the overnight leader in Division 3 as he fired a 79 on Saturday and was 2 shots under his young age of 81. A trio was chasing Carl heading into Sunday, Joe Renteria, John Lambertand Dean Weinman.
On Sunday, Joe Renteria surged ahead in the final 3 holes to capture the title over Reddix and took the crown for Division 3. Lambert and Cassidy Salvador tied for 3rd.
Catherine Malehorn was the overnight leader in Division 4 after firing an 82 to lead Bill Favinger by 1 shot and Jonathan Crutcher by 2. In the end, Crutcher would take the title with an 86 on Sunday to win by one shot over Bill Favinger
Tommy Jackson continued his winning ways in Division 5 with an 11 shot victory over Elizabeth Massarin. Justice Barnhill, Kenton Morris and Ed Harlow finished one shot back in 3rd Place.
Chad Davis “double dipped” with an 11 shot victory in the Mid Am Net Championship over Sean Heath. Cassidy Salvador finished 3rd and in the money.
Jonathan Crutcher also “double dipped” with a 3 shot victory over Bill Favinger in the Senior Net Championship. John Lambert finished 3rd.

Sunday Closest to the Pins ($25 Tournament Credit): Mike Sheehan, Bill Marlowe, William Favinger and Jim Baugher
