Tierra Verde Tournament Finals Recap
The tournament finals at Tierra Verde delivered exciting finishes across all five divisions, with strong rounds, dominant victories, and a dramatic playoff highlighting a fantastic day of golf.
Division 1
New member Michael Champine turned in an outstanding performance, firing a 3-under-par 69 to take first place. Jeremiah Gilbert finished second with a 73, followed by Andrew Parsons, who carded a 76 for third place.
Division 2
Alrick Washington captured first place with a solid 71, winning by five strokes. Three players tied for second, each shooting a 76: Adolfo Perez, Andy Panwar, and Clint Justice.
Division 3
Matt Witman ran away with the Division 3 title, carding a 1-over-par 73 to win by an impressive six strokes. Richard Shaw and Chet Armistead tied for second place with matching scores of 79.
Division 4
Eighteen holes wasn’t enough to settle the Division 4 championship! Aubrey Hughes and Rodney Wren finished tied for first with matching scores of 87, sending the two players back to Hole 18 for a playoff.
Aubrey Hughes came through on the first playoff hole to claim the Division 4 championship, while Rodney Wren took second. Michael Becker and Mark Helms tied for third place, each carding an 88.
Division 5
Jonathan Sample took first place in Division 5 with a score of 86, finishing ahead of Stephen Lamb, who carded a 94 for second place. Robin King rounded out the top three with a 96.
Additional Winners
Congratulations as well to our special net division winners: Willy Syrquin, who took the Mid-Am Net title, and Matt Witman, who claimed the Senior Net title.
