Hobbs Hole Golf Course Tournament Results

44 Golfers teed it up on the a beautiful Saturday morning at Hobbs Hole in Tappahannock, Virginia. 

In Division 1, Dave Dustin separated himself from the field on the back 9 to secure a 3 shot victory over Shane Studer with a +2 (73).  Sean Heath almost had the first ace of the year with a shot 8 inches from the Hole on #4. 

In Division 2, Buzz Buzinski secured his second consecutive victory, with a +2 (73)on the Virginia Capital Tour with a 3 shot victory over Dave Baca.  Chad Davis and Tim Robinson tied for 3rd 4 shots off the pace.   

Terry Lonjin took the D3 Title with his first victory of 2022 and his first ever in the division with a 76 (+5).  Finishing one shot back was newcomer, Phil Dombek and Raspberry Falls Champ, Emmett Smith. 

In Division 4, Dwayne Evans and Carson McHale went to extra holes to decide the Championship.  Dwayne parred the first extra hole to take the victory.  Both players recorded +14 (85). 

In Division 5, Maurice Murphy captured his first victory of the season with +14 (85) to win by 6 over Les Bullock 

In Senior Net, Terry Lonjin captured a 4 shot victory over Buzz Buzinski.  Emmett Smith and Tim Robinson tied for 3rd. 

Skins were split lots of ways this weekend in both Divisional and Super Skins 

$1060 Paid out in Flight Skins and Super Skins 

CTP Winners were Dave Baca, Grady Lovett, Sean Heath, Terry Lonjin and Phil Dombek. 

Virginia Capital’s Next Event will be Saturday, June 25th  at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville, VA with a 9AM Shotgun Start and the following day (June 26th), we will be at the Bull Run Golf Club also in Gainesville, VA with 11AM Tee Times.
