21 golfers took to the big stage in Hot Springs Arkansas to test their game on Magellan Golf course. With beautiful weather and gorgeous course conditions the spirits where high as everyone took to the tee.
In Division 1: Jeremy McVay would make his first ever start on the Amateur Players Tour posting a 3 over par 75 to take home the Champion title over Nathen Weinischke who posted a total score of 86.
In Division 2: Mark Brailey would jump out in front of the field early and never took his foot of the gas posting a total score of 6 over par 78 to take the title of Champion at Magellan. Bryan Hawkins would finish in second place posting a total score of 84 and Dennis Joyce would take the third-place finish posting a total score of 87.
In Division 3: LR Gardner would take a one-shot lead over Bruce Upton as division 3 made the turn. But as division 3 played their final 9 holes LR Gardner would find him self finishing the round in first place over taking Bruce Upton by 4 shots. LR Gardner would take home the Champion title for the second event in a row posting a final score of 81. Bruce Upton would finish in second place posting a final score of 85. Billy Molton would take home a third-place finish posting a total score of 91.
In Division 4: As division 4 made the turn Jeff Corder and Rob Luter would find themselves tied for the lead with a sore of 41. As division 4 would finish the round Jeff Corder would win the title of champion with a total score of 84. Kenneth Taylor would battle his way back in to second place posting a total score of 86. And Rob Luter would finish in third place with a total score of 88.
In Division 5: Kemper Pyle and Jordan Kimbriel would both find themselves in the only playoff of the day both posting a final score of 94. They would replay hole one twice both paring the hole both times before we moved to hole 2. Jordan would capitalize on Kemper’s missed putt to end the playoff and win his first ever Champions Title on the Amateur Players Tour. Kemper Pyle would take the second-place victory and Chris Johnson would take the third-place spot posting a total score of 96.
