Swan Lake Results

Tour Stop # 2 on the Amateur Players Tour - Metro NY chapter brings us to the beautiful Swan Lake Golf Club in Manorville, NY. The sun was shining bright, but the wind was blowing, with gusts over 25mph all day- let us see how if it affected the players!

Division 1: Wind or no wind Luke Walters (78) was not going to be denied. With a 37 on the front and a 41 on the back, Walters led the field and never looked back on his way to securing the trophy! Vic Tandon (83) and Aaron Farrell (89) rounded out the top three.

Division 2: In his first tournament of this young season Brian Gallahue (74) came out and showed he's going to be a player to contend with this season. 38 on the front and 36 on the back with 4 birdies along the way, Gallahue takes home the hardware with an impressive two over par! Jesse Rosenstock (79) was on Brian’s heels all day but was just not able to keep up. Scott Kata (80) finished in third.

Division 3: 18 Holes just was not enough for Jim Ready (82) and Justin Epstein (82) = They would need to take it to a sudden death 19th playoff hole! In the end it was Ready who proved to be too much for Epstein, paring that 19th hole and claiming victory! Awesome job by both players and Congrat’s to Jim on a hard-fought win! Pat Fogarty (84) came up just short to finish in third place.

Division 4: Sometimes we have a day where we are just feeling it, right? Swan Lake was that day for Walter Stashin (82)! After posting a 44 on the front Stashin dialed it in with 5 pars and a birdie (38) on the back 9 blowing away the field by 8+ strokes! Anthony Caraccio (90) and Mike Bello (91) gave it their all but Mr Stashin was relentless on his way to victory!

Division 5: Just 5 strokes would separate the top 4 players in Div. 5. In the end it was Bret Fontana (89) sitting atop the leaderboard and claiming the victory! John Parinello (92) Ray Kenchik (93) and Chris White ( 94) came up short as Fontana led the field start to finish on his way to the win!

It was an awesome day out on the course, and we thank everyone who participated in this event! we hope to see you all at our next even on Monday May 10th at North Hills Country Club in beautiful Manhasset New York.
