Lick Creek Golf Course – Pekin, IL

    Sunday, June 23, 2025

    45 Players | $2,880 Total Purse

Hot and humid with tough summer conditions

The Central Illinois Tour rolled into Pekin for a midseason showdown at Lick Creek Golf Course, and the course didn’t disappoint. With tight fairways, firm greens, and high heat in play, every division saw drama down the stretch — and one Closest to the Pin contest that came down to the final group of the day.

Division 1 – Tom Oshinski (Morton, IL)

First-year member Tom Oshinski stayed steady under pressure to secure his first APT victory. Birdies on 8 and 18 gave him the edge over STL guest Andrew Rottschalk (O’Fallon, IL), who was right in the hunt until a costly triple on the tough par-3 15th. With the entire field within four strokes at the turn, this one could’ve gone to anyone — but Tom’s clutch back nine (+2) sealed the deal.

    Purse: $130 | 6 Players

Division 2 – Hans Bishop (Atlanta, IL)

Hans Bishop went wire-to-wire in a gritty D2 battle. After a tied front nine with local favorite RJ Trimpe, things heated up on the back. RJ delivered a moment of brilliance with a chip-in eagle on the difficult par-5 6th after nearly finding OB off the tee. But Hans stayed cool, carding a +2 (38) coming home while RJ and Ansel Burditt (Metamora, IL) couldn’t keep pace.

    Purse: $320 | 16 Players

Division 3 – Adam Dean (Morton, IL)

Back from a strong showing at TPC Scottsdale, Adam Dean was locked in from the start, dropping birdies on 2, 11, and 18 to take the win. Jason Holden led at the turn but cooled off on the back, finishing runner-up ahead of Jimmy Pulis, a local contender with a solid showing.

    Purse: $200 | 10 Players

Division 4 – Ed Pavese (Mattoon, IL)

Newly promoted and already making waves, Ed Pavese showed why he’s a name to watch. A strong +6 on the demanding front nine and a smooth +5 (41) on the back gave him a wire-to-wire win. Bobby Elkhart notched a personal best with a second-place finish, while Ed Watkins surged with a +6 (42) on the back to claim third.

    Purse: $280 | 14 Players

Division 5 – James Sellner (Peoria Heights, IL)

In an emotional win, James Sellner claimed his first career APT victory just days after a family loss. His birdie on 13 gave him the edge over Kyle Jones, as James finished strong to bring home a well-earned title in just his first year on tour.

    Purse: $130 | 2 Players

Senior Net – Ansel Burditt (Metamora, IL)

In a tight finish, Ansel Burditt claimed the Senior Net title with a net +2, edging out Ed Watkins (+4) in the 5-player field.

    Purse: $100

Closest to the Pin – Brandon Smith (Central IL)

In one of the best moments of the day, Brandon Smith, in the final group, stuck it inside 3 feet to edge out Reggie Livingston (5’11”) — who was just ahead of him on the 13th tee and got to watch Brandon hit the eventual winner.

    Purse: $480

    Skins Payouts

    Division 1 & 2 Skins: $424 | 8 skins awarded

    Division 3/4/5 Skins: $420 | 7 skins awarded
