JASPER, IN — Eighty-eight players teed it up at the stunning Sultan’s Run Golf Course in Jasper, Indiana, one of the most scenic tracks in the state and home to the iconic and picturesque 18th hole. Despite a lightning delay that temporarily paused play, the energy and intensity remained high as players battled across five divisions in a competitive and memorable tournament.

Division 1 featured a season-best performance from Blake Claycomb of Vincennes, Indiana, who fired a stellar 3-under-par 69 to secure the victory. Claycomb’s round was enough to fend off a strong challenge from Nicolas Heller of Lexington, Illinois, who posted a 72 to finish second. John Todd of Wright City, Missouri, rounded out the top three with a solid 76.

In Division 2, Rocky Dare of Salem, New Jersey, delivered an impressive even-par 72 to claim first place. Dare held off Eric Schaetty of Affton, Missouri (75) and Lance Davidson of O’Fallon, Illinois (77) in a competitive division.

Division 3 came down to the wire, with Nick Hardisty of Fishers, Indiana, carding an 80 to edge out a crowded leaderboard. Chris Turner of Ellisville, Missouri (81), and both Gary Barrow of Richmond, Kentucky, and Dan Maloney of Cincinnati, Ohio (82), pushed Hardisty to the finish in a nail-biting battle.

Division 4 saw Nicholas Crouse of Dana, Iowa, rise to the occasion with an impressive 82, good enough to lead the field. Bob Witt of Fremont, Iowa, finished four strokes back with an 86, and Don Hubbard of Independence, Kentucky, followed closely with an 87 to secure third.

In Division 5, it was Jeremiah Cassidy of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, who stole the show with a commanding win, shooting a 90 to take the trophy. Zach Jacson of Connersville, Indiana, and Mike Eames of North Ogden, Utah, tied for second at 97.

Cassidy’s success didn’t stop there. In the Open Net competition, he posted a blazing net 67 (five under par) to complete the double dip, holding off strong rounds from Nicholas Crouse (68), Nick Hardisty (69), and Dan Maloney (69)

In the Senior Net division, Rocky Dare earned his second trophy of the day with a superb net 68, narrowly edging David Anthony of Indianapolis (69) and Brian Vance of Eddyville, Iowa (71).

Despite the mid-round lightning delay, Sultan’s Run once again proved why it’s one of Indiana’s most treasured golf destinations. The course, competition, and camaraderie made for a day to remember.
