Stonebridge Golf Club welcomed another strong Atlanta APT field on Sunday as players took on one of Northwest Georgia’s premier layouts. With the Player of the Year races continuing to tighten, every point carried added importance as local players were joined by competitors from Birmingham, East Tennessee, and Nashville for another competitive day of tournament golf.

Division 1 belonged once again to Erik Benson, who continued one of the hottest stretches of golf in the Atlanta chapter. Benson carded an even-par 72 to secure his third consecutive victory and ninth win of the 2026 season. James Davis finished runner-up after posting a solid 75, while Birmingham’s Andree Tucker rounded out the top three at 77. Adam Hornstra continued his consistent season with a fourth-place finish, keeping himself firmly in the Division 1 Player of the Year conversation.

Division 2 welcomed visitors from the East Tennessee chapter, and Johnny Pierce made the trip count by firing a 3-over-par 75 to capture his second victory of the season. Atlanta’s Tim Blue put together a strong round to finish second, while fellow East Tennessee player Davis Pool claimed third. Paul Howard Jr. and Dean Crouch rounded out a competitive top five for the Atlanta chapter.

Division 3 saw Greg Bostock make an impressive return to competition. Playing in his first Atlanta event of the 2026 season, Bostock wasted little time making his presence felt, earning the victory with a round of 80. Nick Murphy and Sidney Divine finished tied for second after matching rounds of 84, while John Perron secured fourth place in another tightly contested division.

Division 4 featured another milestone performance as Nicholas Gaston captured his first victory of the season with a round of 86. East Tennessee’s Tyke Stogsdill claimed second place, while Birmingham’s Brian Sanders finished third. Gaston’s victory became even more impressive as he also swept the Mid-Am Net division, taking home two trophies on the day.

Division 5 belonged to Mitchell McDannald, whose steady play resulted in his fourth victory of the 2026 season. Lee Thompson finished runner-up after carding a 93, while Tyler Reily rounded out the top three. McDannald’s latest victory continues to strengthen what has already been an outstanding season in Division 5.

The Senior Net title went to Birmingham’s Brian Sanders, who added another trophy to his trip across state lines with another consistent performance.

Congratulations to all of this week’s winners and thank you to everyone who made the trip to Stonebridge Golf Club. With repeat winners continuing to build momentum and several Player of the Year races beginning to take shape, the second half of the Atlanta season is setting up to be one of the most competitive yet.
