The April Sound Shootout opened under the threat of summer storms, but shifting forecasts spared the weekend and left the course in prime condition—setting the stage for APT players to take on one of the more nuanced layouts on the schedule.

    Division 1
Jason Hawthorne and Jarrod Brown set the early pace, both turning in rounds of +2 (37) on the front nine. Marc Young entered the mix with a mid-round surge, highlighted by a birdie on 12 to draw even at the top. Down the stretch, Brown separated himself with two clutch birdies, carding a steady +2 (38) on the back to secure the win at +4 (75).

    Division 2
Chris Nigh came out firing, posting two birdies through six holes en route to a +2 (37) front nine. Darien Duhon stayed within striking distance at +3 (38), while recently promoted Gary Josephson began five shots back before mounting a serious charge with birdies on 12 and 13. Nigh answered with a birdie of his own on 12 and held firm down the stretch, claiming the division title at +7 (78). Josephson finished just one shot behind at +8 (79).

    Division 3
Troy White and Jeff Roberts went head-to-head early, each posting +6 (41) on the front, with Sai Duvvuri close behind at +7 (42). White maintained his consistency on the back nine, matching his opening score with another +6 (42). His steady play proved decisive, earning a four-shot victory with a total of +12 (83).

    Division 4
Denis Corleto and Devin Synder appeared locked in a tight battle after both opened with +4 (39). Bilal Jordon steadily worked his way into contention, drawing even with Corleto by the 15th hole. Corleto responded with composure, closing with pars on 17 and 18 to edge out the win by a single stroke at +15 (86). Jordon secured second at +16 (87).

    Division 5
Muhammad Qadir carried a narrow one-shot lead into the back nine after a +11 (46) front, just ahead of Tom Tribble’s +12 (47). Tribble chipped away at the deficit and pulled within two shots through 15 before delivering a strong finish. A +7 (43) back nine, highlighted by a birdie on 17, propelled him to victory at +19 (90). Qadir finished runner-up at +21 (92).

Congratulations to all division winners. The APT now turns its attention to The Bay Oaks Invitational, the final elevated event of the season.
