Tournament Champions
Holy smokes what a day we had at Mules National. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and a course in absolutely stellar condition. A sold out field of 90 players competed across 5 divisions for double points and double prize pool, paying out over $6500.
In Division 1 we saw a close battle between Kory Glasgow and Jess Levin culminating into our first playoff of the day. There’s no better hole for a playoff than 18 at Mules, with both players hitting the green. Kory stuck one close and sunk the birdie for the win!
In Division 2 we had 5 players within 4 strokes of each other. Alex Lederer was first to the clubhouse with a respectable 78. Austin Perry and Tyrell Palmer both had strong back 9s, tied at +7 coming into 18 where anything can happen. With a par to close out the round Austin Perry took home another win!
In Division 3, we had 29 players battling it out throughout the day. With strong competition from Warren Witt, Justin Bennett, Brian Empson and Branson Reynolds. Only two strokes difference amongst the group. Brian and Justin both finished strong, leading our second playoff in hole 18. Congrats Brian on the win!
Division 4 was a battle between JJ Gladden and TJ Bowers. Both so close to a win throughout the seasons. TJ continued his strong play and shot a career best 79, finally scoring his first victory after so many closes finishes.
In Division 5 we saw a tough start from most of the field. But Brandon Voran and Nick Reusch fought hard and battled back from the difficult first hole. After settling into the round Nick continued his dominant play, winning by 6 strokes over the rest of the field with a 90. Congrats Nick on your first win!
Our Senior and Mid Am net games were an exciting leaderboard to watch. Multiple lead changes and 34 players battling back and forth for the win. Congratulations to Warren Witt from the STL Chapter and JJ Gladden on their net game wins!
