THE FINALE AT ROYCE BROOK
2026 Local Championship & Player of the Year Crowning
On Saturday, August 29th, the New Jersey Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour headed to Royce Brook Golf Club for the 2026 Season Finale—the final event of the season and the day when our Division, Mid-Am Net, and Senior Net Player of the Year champions would be determined.
With the entire season coming down to one final round, the stakes could not have been higher.
A strong field of 51 competitors arrived at Royce Brook knowing that every shot, every putt, and every point could make the difference in the season-long races. For some players, it was one final opportunity to climb the standings and make a push for the title. For others, it was about protecting a lead and finishing the season on top.
Royce Brook provided a terrific setting for the championship finale, giving players a demanding test that rewarded strategic shot-making, accurate approach play, and the ability to manage pressure from the opening tee shot through the final putt.
And the weather couldn’t have been better.
After significant rainfall in the days leading up to the event, the Royce Brook team did an outstanding job preparing the course and getting it into tournament condition. Despite the wet conditions, the course held up remarkably well and provided our players with a challenging and competitive test. Clear blue skies, low humidity, and temperatures in the low 80s provided perfect conditions for the final round of the 2026 season.
With so much on the line, there was little room for error.
The final round delivered the drama you’d expect from a season finale, with players battling not only for the day’s championship but also for their position in the season-long standings. Every division, along with the Mid-Am Net and Senior Net races, entered the day with something to play for.
By the time the final putts dropped, the 2026 Player of the Year champions had been crowned.
One final round. One final leaderboard. Six Player of the Year races.
The 2026 season officially came to a close at Royce Brook Golf Club, with 51 players leaving it all on the course in one final battle for Player of the Year glory.

The 2026 Season Finale at Royce Brook delivered plenty of excitement, with players battling for a strong finish to the season and a share of the event’s enhanced prize pool. The finale featured $1,150 in Division Skins and Super Skins, while $3,277 in total prize money was awarded across Divisions 1–5, Mid-Am Net, and Senior Net.
As a special thank-you to our players for their continued support throughout the 2026 season, we also held a free player raffle at the conclusion of the event. Players had the opportunity to win some APT SWAG, including APT water bottles, two 365-day APT memberships, and a box of TaylorMade golf balls.
It was a great way to close out the season and show our appreciation to the players who make the New Jersey Chapter what it is.
2026 DIVISION 1 PLAYER OF THE YEAR — ADAM FUCHS
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to recognize Adam Fuchs as the 2026 Division 1 Player of the Year, marking his second consecutive Player of the Year title.
Adam put together an incredible season, competing in seven events and dominating the Division 1 leaderboard throughout the year. He recorded six victories in six local events, while also adding a T-2 finish at the APT Open Championship at Bedford Springs.
His remarkable consistency and ability to perform when it mattered most made him the clear choice for the 2026 Division 1 Player of the Year honor.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Adam was awarded a Sterling Cut Glass Trophy, a SWAG Golf Bag, a SWAG APT Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.
Congratulations to Adam on an exceptional season and an impressive back-to-back Player of the Year achievement!
Royce Brook – DIVISION 1 — A PLAYOFF FOR THE WIN
Division 1 delivered one of the most dramatic finishes of the 2026 Season Finale at Royce Brook, with George Steinmetz and John Krawczyk both posting 6-over 78s to finish tied at the top.
That meant only one thing—the Division 1 championship would have to be decided in a playoff.
The playoff lasted just one hole, but it was enough to determine our champion.
Steinmetz held his nerve and made par to secure the Division 1 victory, while Krawczyk ran into trouble and finished the playoff hole with a double bogey.
After 18 holes of competition, it came down to one final hole—and George Steinmetz emerged victorious to claim the Division 1 title at Royce Brook.
Behind the playoff duo, Charles Lee finished in third place with an 81, just three shots off the lead.
A fitting finish to a competitive Division 1 battle—and a playoff that lasted only one hole but provided plenty of drama.
2026 DIVISION 2 PLAYER OF THE YEAR — ADAM Gamble
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to honor Mr. Adam Gamble as the 2026 Division 2 Player of the Year.
Adam competed in an impressive 11 APT events throughout the season, putting together an outstanding campaign marked by both consistency and winning performances. He recorded five first-place finishes and four runner-up finishes, finishing in the top two in 9 of his 11 events.
Adam’s remarkable season-long consistency and ability to perform under pressure separated him from the field and earned him the 2026 Division 2 Player of the Year title.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Adam was awarded a Sterling Cut Glass Trophy, a SWAG Golf Bag, a SWAG APT Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.

Royce Brook – DIVISION 2 — GAMBLE FINISHES ON TOP
Division 2 saw Adam Gamble claim the top spot at the 2026 Season Finale at Royce Brook, posting a 5-over 77 to finish two shots clear of the field.
Gamble put together a strong round, including a birdie on the par-3 12th, and closed out his round with a birdie on the 18th to secure the Division 2 victory. His steady finish proved to be the difference as he held off a competitive field.
Peter Iosso finished runner-up with a 7-over 79, highlighted by an impressive birdie on the par-5 15th and an eagle on the par-3 12th.
Behind the top two, Matt Kennedy and Farrukh Chaudhry shared third place at 10-over 82. Both players battled through their rounds to finish just five shots behind the winner.
A four-way tie for fifth rounded out the top of the Division 2 leaderboard, with Colleen Rafter, Aditya Simha, Justin Epstein, and Jody Barrett all finishing at 11-over 83.
A strong showing from Gamble capped off a competitive Division 2 battle and gave him the final division title of the 2026 season.
2026 DIVISION 3 PLAYER OF THE YEAR — DYLAN D’AMATO
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to honor Dylan D’Amato as the 2026 Division 3 Player of the Year.
Heading into the season finale at Royce Brook, the Division 3 Player of the Year race was one of the tightest on the Tour. Larry Barber entered the championship leading the division, with Dylan D’Amato right in the hunt and ready to make his final push for the title.
With the Player of the Year championship hanging in the balance, Dylan delivered a season worthy of the honor. Competing in 11 APT events, Dylan recorded two victories, four runner-up finishes, and two third-place finishes, establishing himself as one of the most consistent players in Division 3 throughout the 2026 season.
His combination of winning performances and remarkable consistency ultimately earned Dylan the 2026 Division 3 Player of the Year crown.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Dylan was awarded a Sterling Cut Glass Trophy, a SWAG Golf Bag, a SWAG APT Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.

Royce Brook – DIVISION 3 — BARBERIO TAKES THE TITLE
Division 3 delivered a competitive battle at the 2026 Season Finale, with Darren Barberio emerging as the winner after posting an 8-over 80 to finish three shots clear of the field.
Barberio put together a steady round, making the turn in 42 before closing out his final nine with a 38. His ability to limit mistakes and finish strong was enough to secure the Division 3 title at Royce Brook.
Chalie Eastlack and Dylan D’Amato shared second place, both finishing at 11-over 83. The pair finished just three shots behind Barberio after putting together solid rounds on a challenging day.
Trevor Pieh claimed fourth place with an 85, while a three-way tie for fifth rounded out the top of the leaderboard. Stephen Nitti, Jerry D’Ascoli, and Raymond Van Ness all finished at 14-over 86.
Barberio’s consistent play proved to be the difference, giving him the Division 3 victory and another memorable finish to the 2026 season.
2026 DIVISION 4 PLAYER OF THE YEAR — CARMINE CICCARELLI
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to honor Carmine Ciccarelli as the 2026 Division 4 Player of the Year.
Heading into the season finale at Royce Brook, the Division 4 Player of the Year race was another battle that came down to the wire. Sal Leto entered the championship firmly in contention, setting the stage for a dramatic final showdown between two of Division 4’s top performers.
Carmine ultimately did enough to secure the Player of the Year crown after an outstanding season. Competing in 11 APT events, Carmine recorded an impressive four victories, one runner-up finish, and three third-place finishes. His consistency throughout the season, combined with his ability to find the winner’s circle, proved to be the difference in a highly competitive Player of the Year race.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Carmine was awarded a Sterling Cut Glass Trophy, a SWAG Golf Bag, a SWAG APT Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.

Royce Brook – DIVISION 4 — CICCARELLI CLAIMS THE WIN
Division 4 saw Carmine L. Ciccarelli come out on top at the 2026 Season Finale at Royce Brook, posting a 17-over 89 to win the division by three shots.
Ciccarelli put together a solid opening nine, making the turn at 44 before closing with a 45 on the back nine. A birdie on the par-4 15th helped him navigate the closing stretch and hold off the field.
Art Laney finished runner-up with a 20-over 92, three shots behind Ciccarelli. Laney’s round included a birdie on the par-4 16th as he secured second place.
Kermitt Bowen finished third with a 22-over 94, while Daniel Kim, Sal Leto, and Mel Portalatin battled to a three-way tie for fourth, all finishing at 23-over 95.
Ciccarelli’s steady play throughout the day was enough to secure the Division 4 victory and close out the 2026 season on top.
2026 DIVISION 5 PLAYER OF THE YEAR — DAVID NEDER
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to honor David Neder as the 2026 Division 5 Player of the Year.
Heading into the season finale at Royce Brook, the Division 5 Player of the Year race was wide open, with Paul Taylor and Peter Kratzel both firmly in the hunt. With the championship on the line, all three players had a chance to make their final push and claim the coveted Player of the Year title.
In the end, David Neder did enough to secure the crown and cap off an incredible 2026 campaign. David’s season was highlighted by three consecutive victories, including his Division 5 championship at Royce Brook, where he continued his late-season surge and proved once again that he knew how to perform when it mattered most.
David’s consistency and ability to deliver victories throughout the season ultimately separated him from the field and earned him the 2026 Division 5 Player of the Year title.
In recognition of his outstanding season, David was awarded a Sterling Cut Glass Trophy, a SWAG Golf Bag, a SWAG APT Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.

Royce Brook – DIVISION 5 — THREE-PEAT FOR DAVID NEDER!
David Neder is officially on a roll!
Taking on the challenge of Royce Brook, Neder delivered another winning performance, shooting an 89 (+17) to capture the Division 5 championship and, even more impressively, make it three victories in a row!
Neder’s latest win continues an incredible stretch of golf as he once again found a way to rise to the top when it mattered most. His 89 was enough to hold off Peter Kratzel, who finished runner-up with a 94 (+22).
The battle for third was tight, with Douglas Bergesen and Brandt Cullen sharing the final podium spot after both carding 95 (+23).
Three straight wins. One incredible run.

2026 MID-AM NET PLAYER OF THE YEAR — DYLAN D’AMATO
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to recognize Dylan D’Amato as the 2026 Mid-Am Net Player of the Year.
The Mid-Am Net Player of the Year race came down to another thrilling battle, with Carmine Ciccarelli and Dylan D’Amato separated by a narrow margin heading into the season finale at Royce Brook. With everything on the line, D’Amato delivered when it mattered most, adding another major accomplishment to what was already an incredible 2026 season.
Dylan competed in an impressive 11 APT events, recording four victories, one runner-up finish, one third-place finish, and two fourth-place finishes. His remarkable consistency and ability to repeatedly find the winner’s circle ultimately secured him the 2026 Mid-Am Net Player of the Year title — adding yet another Player of the Year championship to his Division 3 crown.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Dylan was awarded a SWAG Backpack, SWAG Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership. However, because Dylan had already earned a SWAG Head Cover and membership with his Division 3 Player of the Year Prize pack, and in order to remain within the $1,000 USGA amateur prize limit, those duplicate awards were passed down to the next eligible finishers.
That meant Carmine Ciccarelli, who finished second in the Mid-Am Net Player of the Year race, was next in line. However, with Carmine also already approaching the $1,000 threshold, the SWAG Head Cover and complimentary membership were ultimately awarded to third-place finisher Chalie Eastlack.
Chalie took home the SWAG Head Cover and an additional 365 days added to his APT membership, making it a unique finish to an exciting Mid-Am Net Player of the Year race.

Royce Brook – MID-AM NET CHAMPION DYLAN D’AMATO
The Mid-Am Net competition at Royce Brook came down to an incredible finish, with the top four players separated by just two net strokes!
Remember, these are NET scores, reflecting each player’s handicap-adjusted performance.
Dylan D’Amato came out on top, posting a stellar 73 (+1 net) to claim the Mid-Am Net championship. Dylan’s round included a remarkable stretch of scoring, including a Net eagle on the par-5 18th to help seal the victory.
Just one stroke back, Trevor Pieh, Chalie Eastlack, and Carmine Ciccarelli all finished tied for second at 74 (+2 net), making for a tightly contested leaderboard from start to finish.

2026 SENIOR NET PLAYER OF THE YEAR — SAL LETO
The New Jersey Amateur Players Tour is proud to honor Sal Leto as the 2026 Senior Net Player of the Year.
The Senior Net Player of the Year race was another battle that went right down to the wire. Heading into the season finale at Royce Brook, Sal Leto and Larry Barber were separated by just a few points, setting the stage for a dramatic finish with the Player of the Year title hanging in the balance.
Sal put together an outstanding 2026 campaign, competing in 11 APT events and consistently finding himself near the top of the leaderboard. His season included two victories, one runner-up finish, one third-place finish, one fourth-place finish, and three fifth-place finishes.
With the pressure at its highest, Sal ultimately did enough to secure the championship and claim the 2026 Senior Net Player of the Year title. His consistency throughout the season and ability to perform when the points mattered most proved to be the difference in an incredibly competitive race.
In recognition of his outstanding season, Sal Leto was awarded a SWAG Backpack, SWAG Head Cover, and a complimentary APT membership adding an additional 365 days to his current membership.

Royce Brook – SENIOR- NET CHAMPION Peter Iosso
The Senior Net Division at Royce Brook delivered a dramatic finish to the 2026 season, with Peter Iosso and Jerry D’Ascoli battling their way to identical net scores of 71 (-1) and forcing a Scorecard Playoff to determine the champion.
Both players put together outstanding rounds, finishing one stroke under par on their respective net scorecards. Iosso closed with a 34 on the back nine, while D’Ascoli posted a 36, but with both players tied at 71, the championship came down to the APT’s scorecard playoff criteria.
When the final numbers were tallied, Peter Iosso emerged as the Senior Net champion, edging Jerry D’Ascoli in the scorecard playoff and claiming the top spot and being awarded the trophy!
Behind the two leaders, Adam Gamble and David Neder shared third place at even-par 72, while Richard Guillod and Peter Kratzel rounded out the top five at 2-over 74
