A field of 114 players made the trip across the river for the chapter’s championship, playing for $6,025 in prize money across seven contests on a golf course presented in the best shape players have seen it all season.
Annbriar has long been one of the most respected tests in the St. Louis metro, and it carries the résumé to back it up. The Waterloo layout hosts the Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Championship as well as the Monday Qualifier for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Memorial Health Championship, and the grounds crew had the property in immaculate condition for the finals. Temperatures climbed as the day wore on, but the heat was the only thing defending par — scoring conditions were near-perfect from the opening tee shot, and players who kept the ball in front of them were rewarded across every division.
The event was presented by Autohaus BMW, title sponsor of both the Local Finals and the season-long Player of the Year race. Founded in 1966 by Willi and Anita Fink and still family-owned and operated today, the Maplewood dealership at 3015 S. Hanley has grown into the largest and fastest-growing BMW center in Missouri, built on one of the longest-tenured sales and service staffs in the business and a customer-first philosophy the family calls the “Autohaus Experience.” Autohaus BMW powers the St. Louis Player of the Year Race.
In Division 1, Caleb Schenck went low early and often, making seven birdies on the day to card a 4-over 76 and edge the chapter’s deepest division by a single stroke. Schenck opened bogey-bogey-bogey but flipped the round completely on the back half of the outward nine, rolling in birdies at the 5th and then three in a row at the 7th, 8th and 9th to turn in 1-under 35. When the closing stretch tightened, he answered where it mattered most, converting the par-5 18th for a closing birdie to secure the victory. Colin Hall and Noel Fehr each posted 5-over 77 to share runner-up honors. Fehr made the day’s other big move on the front, going birdie-birdie-birdie at the 5th, 6th and 7th en route to an even-par 36, while Hall found birdies at the 5th and 10th and came home in 1-over 37.
In Division 2, David Adams delivered the low round of the entire championship without ever getting into trouble. Adams made 15 pars, never made worse than a bogey, and needed just one birdie — at the par-5 5th — to turn in 1-under 35 on his way to a 2-over 74 and a three-shot victory. It was a clinic in course management on a golf course that rewards exactly that, and nobody else in the division broke 77. Michael Mervis, Taylor Young and Zach Bryan all finished at 5-over 77 to share second, and the depth behind them was considerable — fifteen players finished within seven shots of Adams, with four more bunched at 79 and five sitting on 81.
Division 3 belonged to Scott Sahli, who won it going the wrong way around. Sahli made the turn in 42 and looked to be drifting out of the picture before flipping the switch, birdieing the par-5 14th and closing with four consecutive pars for an inward 37 and a 7-over 79 — a two-shot win. The victory continues a season of steady climbing for the Salem, MO player, who broke through for his first career APT title at this same golf course back in April, then in Division 4, and has since earned his way up a division. Dave Baxmeyer finished solo second at 9-over 81, while Vincent Featherson, Schooner Fitzgerald, Tony Proffitt and Justin Wilson all carded 10-over 82 to share third in a division that saw ten players finish within five shots of the lead.
In Division 4, Justin Levine matched Sahli’s number and had to survive a wild finish to do it. Levine went out in 1-over 37 and built a comfortable cushion before running into trouble late, making 7 on the par-5 18th to sign for a 7-over 79 — still good enough by a single shot when the scores were tallied. Daniel Happel pushed him to the wire with matching 40s for an 8-over 80 and solo second. Ryan Troll took solo third at 9-over 81, while Las Vegas chapter member James Plaire, in town from Henderson, NV, tied with Baxton Owen at 10-over 82 to round out the money positions.
Division 5 went to Wayman Declue, who did his damage early. Declue posted a 42 through the outward nine, found a birdie at the par-5 14th coming home, and his 19-over 91 held up for a two-shot win. Byron Whitlock finished runner-up at 21-over 93, with Keith Jeffery taking solo third at 22-over 94.
In the Mid-Am Net Division, Levine completed the double-dip in commanding fashion, riding a net 30 on the outward nine to a net 8-under 64 and a four-shot victory — the lowest number posted in either net competition all day. Troll added a second podium to his afternoon with a net 4-under 68 to take runner-up honors, and Sahli made it a clean sweep of gross winners atop the net board, closing in a net 32 for a net 3-under 69 and solo third.
The Senior Net Division produced the tightest finish of the championship. Daniel Happel turned his Division 4 runner-up round into a trophy, matching net 34s on both nines — punctuated by a net birdie at the 16th — for a net 4-under 68 and a one-shot win over a five-man logjam. David Adams, Dave Baxmeyer, Tony Proffitt, Will Allen and Doyle (Duke) Price all finished at net 3-under 69 to share second, with Adams completing his own double-dip after the Division 2 victory. Another five players — Vincent Featherson, Byron Whitlock, James Plaire, Michael Mervis and Mike Scalera — came in at net 2-under 70 to tie for seventh and round out the money positions. All told, eleven players finished within two shots of the lead in a 55-player field, the largest of the seven contests.
The Local Finals also marked the conclusion of the Golf with Jay Delsing Series, the in-season competition contested across the chapter’s premier private-club and Monday events, with each member’s best five finishes counting toward the final standings. The series bonus pool grew again in 2026 to $3,000 across the five open divisions, paying $300 to each division champion, $200 for second and $100 for third.

Scalera capped a strong season with the Senior Net crown to go along with his runner-up finish in the Division 4 series, while Manville doubled up with the Division 2 title and a second-place showing on the senior side.
