St. Louis Golf Tournament Results: Norwood Hills Country Club (East Course) | APT

For players searching for golf tournaments near me or competitive St. Louis golf events, the APT St. Louis chapter delivered a premier 36-hole experience this past weekend at Norwood Hills Country Club (East Course), one of the most classic and demanding layouts in the region. Known for its rolling, hilly terrain and traditional architecture, Norwood Hills challenged players with precision off the tee and elite touch on what proved to be the fastest greens the chapter has seen all season.

Round 1 set the tone, but it was clear early that maintaining position over 36 holes would be the ultimate test. With firm conditions and slick putting surfaces, scoring required patience, discipline, and the ability to avoid big numbers across two demanding rounds.

This event also marked the first stop in the Golf with Jay Delsing Series, a collection of premier private-club events on the St. Louis schedule, featuring an additional $2,500 bonus pool awarded to the overall series winner. Players are encouraged to tune in to the Golf with Jay Delsing Show every Sunday from 8–10 AM on ESPN Radio. A special thanks as well to Dave Adams and Simply Senior Solutions for contributing an additional $1,000 bonus pool to the Senior Net division for the series.

In Division 1, Jared Jordan delivered a dominant two-round performance to secure a convincing victory. Jordan backed up an opening round 69 with a steady 75 in Round 2 to finish at 6-over 144, separating himself from the field with consistent ball-striking across both rounds. David Schlip finished second at 13-over 151, while Doug Cristina and John Todd tied for third at 15-over 153.

In Division 2, Matt Borgmeyer returned to the winner’s circle with a narrow but controlled victory over 36 holes. Borgmeyer opened with a 71 and followed it up with a 77 to finish at 10-over 148, holding off a strong charge from Billy Davis, who finished just one shot back at 11-over 149. Ben Lincoln secured third at 14-over 152, followed by Andrew Masters at 16-over 154 and Michael Mervis at 18-over 156.

In Division 3, Justin Wilson captured his first win at the elevated Division 3 level after winning this same event last year in Division 4, continuing his upward trajectory. Wilson posted rounds of 82-77 to finish at 21-over 159, outlasting Jon Bossaller, who finished second at 23-over 161. Christian Benavides placed third at 24-over 162, while Blake Wellingtonand Rick Johnson tied for fourth at 27-over 165.

In Division 4, Bobby Robertson broke through for his first career victory, putting together two consistent rounds of 81-77 to finish at 20-over 158 and secure the win. Stephen Williams finished second at 24-over 162, while Jim Seiberthighlighted the storyline of the week with his first podium finish since being promoted, placing third at 35-over 173. Clay Metzger and Dave Parker tied for fourth at 37-over 175 to round out the money positions.

In Division 5, Mark Smith redeemed his near miss at Annbriar with a convincing victory, finishing at 42-over 180 across two rounds. Smith controlled the event wire-to-wire, while Roger Eberlein continued his torrid start to the season with a runner-up finish at 49-over 187. David Alexander and Esther Flora tied for third at 56-over 194, while Brian Copefinished fifth at 61-over 199.

In the Mid-Am Net Division, Stephen Williams delivered one of the most impressive performances of the season, firing rounds of 65-66 for a combined 8-under 131 total to win by a commanding margin. Matt Borgmeyer finished second at 2-under 137, while Blake Wellington placed third at 1-under 138. Jared Jordan finished fourth at 4-over 143, and Tucker Jensen rounded out the top five at 5-over 144.

In the Senior Net Division, Rick Johnson captured the victory with a two-round total of 3-under 136, using steady play across both rounds to outlast the field. Billy Davis finished second at 1-over 140, while Christian Benavides placed third at 2-over 141. Michael Moynihan and Mark Smith tied for fourth at 6-over 145, while Roger Eberlein added another strong finish at 7-over 146 to continue his early-season momentum.

The APT St. Louis chapter now turns its attention to Crescent Farms on Saturday, May 9th, featuring a 1:00 PM shotgun start. With fewer than 40 spots remaining and registration closing May 2nd, players are encouraged to secure their spot early.
