Christensen Headlines Winners at The Glenmoor Grind Elevated

The Utah Chapter returned to Glenmoor Golf Club in South Jordan, Utah on Saturday for The Glenmoor Grind Elevated, where players battled one of the Wasatch Front’s most demanding layouts. Known for its elevation changes, strategic shot values, and picturesque mountain backdrop, Glenmoor once again provided a true test across every Amateur Players Tour division.

With valuable Utah Chapter Player of the Year points on the line, competitors took advantage of another opportunity to strengthen their standing as the season continues toward its closing stretch.

    Division 1

Brandon Christensen (Utah) separated himself from the field with the round of the day, firing an impressive 1-under 71to claim the Division 1 title. Christensen mixed four birdies with an eagle to become the only player in the division to finish under par.

Jeff Herzog (Utah) finished runner-up at 3-over 75, while Coby Duffin (Utah) rounded out the top three after posting a 4-over 76.

    Division 2

Consistency proved to be the difference in Division 2 as Jeff Clifford (Utah) carded a steady 2-under 70 to earn the victory by four shots.

The battle behind him was much tighter, with Shawn Larsen (Utah) and Brody Vecera (Utah) sharing second place after matching rounds of 2-over 74. Several players remained within striking distance throughout the day before Clifford pulled away with one of the lowest rounds of the tournament.

    Division 3

Division 3 featured another closely contested leaderboard before Kyle Pomikala (Utah) emerged on top with a 5-over 77.

Camron Burnette (Utah) and Steven Beckstead (Utah) finished tied for second at 6-over 78, while four players shared fourth place at 7-over 79, highlighting just how competitive the division remained throughout the afternoon.

    Division 4

Jim Browning (Utah) captured the Division 4 title after posting a 10-over 82, finishing two strokes clear of Jeff Saldivar (Utah).

Conlin Hooley (Utah) secured third place with a round of 13-over 85, while several players battled closely throughout the top ten in another competitive division.

    Division 5

In Division 5, Keaton Nielsen (Utah) put together a consistent round of 13-over 85 to earn the victory.

Tyler Jensen (Utah) finished second at 14-over 86, with Steve Johnson (Utah) taking third after carding 16-over 88.

    Mid-Am Net

The lowest score of the day belonged to Tyler Jensen (Utah), who fired a remarkable 8-under 64 to win the Mid-Am Net division.

Jeff Clifford (Utah) followed with a 5-under 67, while Kyle Pomikala (Utah) and Taylor Coomans (Utah) shared third after matching 3-under 69s.

    Senior Net

The closest finish of the tournament came in Senior Net, where Shawn Larsen (Utah) and Steve Johnson (Utah) each finished at 5-under 67, sharing the division title after matching rounds.

Michael Dunn (Utah) and Steven Beckstead (Utah) tied for third at 3-under 69, continuing a tightly contested leaderboard throughout the day.

    Looking Ahead

As another successful event wraps up, attention now shifts to the next stop on the Utah Chapter schedule. Every tournament carries increased significance as players continue chasing Utah Chapter Player of the Year honors and valuable season points.

Congratulations to all of this week’s winners, and thank you to everyone who competed at The Glenmoor Grind Elevated. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the tee for the next Amateur Players Tour Utah event.
