On Saturday, June 6, the Amateur Players Tour Western Kentucky Chapter hosted the Boots Randolph Championship at Boots Randolph Golf Course at Lake Barkley State Resort Park. Thank you to the Boots Randolph staff for helping make the event a memorable success. In Division 1, newcomer Norm Field fired a 74 to defeat Houston George (79) and Scotty Butler (80) for his first APT victory. Division 2 featured a day-long duel between veteran Josh DeJarnette (79) and newcomer Steven Todd (79), with Josh securing the win on the first playoff hole after 19 holes; Jason Tippett finished third. In Division 3, Nick Monteleone (91) continued his strong play by topping Drake Butler (94). Division 4 was another close contest, as Nick Johnson (93) edged Mickey Baker (94) and Davey Crockett (95) to earn his second straight win, while newcomer James Ellis placed fourth. Division 5 also went to extra holes, with Mike Osbourn defeating Mark Smith with a par on the first playoff hole. Nick Johnson won Mid-Am Net over Scotty Butler and Drake Butler, and Mark Smith captured Senior Net over Mickey Baker and Davey Crockett.
