Pat Ryan is PDI Custom Clubs Contest Winner

Pat Ryan is the PDI Custom Clubs Contest Winner

RIDGEFIELD, CT – July 16, 2026 — Following the conclusion of the second APT “Know Your Game” tracking challenge with PDI, APT is proud to announce tour member Pat Ryan as the grand prize winner of the $2,500 custom equipment package courtesy of PDI and its sister company GPC Custom Clubs.

The contest, which challenged APT members to commit to their development by completing a minimum of four Player Development Index (PDI) self-assessments, saw phenomenal tour-wide engagement. By using the PDI app to systematically measure and track their skills over the four-week period, participants turned their practice hours into a data-driven path to lower scores.

Dialing in the Details: How Pat Ryan Uses PDI to Develop His Game

For Pat Ryan, winning the $2,500 prize is a fantastic bonus to what has already been an incredibly rewarding personal development journey. Pat has fully embraced the PDI platform—originally launched in partnership with APT to standardize player development—utilizing it as a pillar of his training routine.

Instead of hitting aimless buckets on the range, Pat uses his weekly 45-minute self-assessments to practice in a competitive mindset, pinpoint specific weaknesses, track marginal gains, and build structured practice plans.

“Having a clear, objective view of my game’s strengths and weaknesses has positively changed how I practice,” says Ryan.

One assessment challenge in particular has stood out as a game-changer for his on-course performance: Ball Flight Control (specifically, mastering the 9 Ball Flights). By testing and scoring his ability to control curve and height on demand, Pat has built a level of shot-making consistency that translates directly to pressure situations in tournament play.

A Message from APT Leadership:

“We want to congratulate Pat not just on winning this contest, but on how he represents the very best of what APT stands for. Pat is a great model for all APT members. His diligent, humble commitment to working on his game is showing up exactly where it matters—on the leaderboards. Pat is currently in the thick of the running for Division 3 Player of the Year. He proves that when you stop guessing and start measuring, the results follow.”
