On Sunday, April 12th, the APT St. Louis chapter hosted a competitive St. Louis golf tournament at Birch Creek Golf Club in Union, MO, where excellent course conditions and pristine, fast greens led to some of the best scoring of the early season.

Known for its rolling terrain and large, undulating greens, Birch Creek rewards players who can control their approach shots and stay aggressive on the putting surfaces.

A strong field competed, with players continuing to battle for position in the Autohaus BMW St. Louis Player of the Year race.

    Division 1

Jared Jordan broke through for his first career victory, posting a 3-over 75 to earn the win.

AJ Mertz, Chad Menke, and Tucker Jensen shared second at 6-over 78, while Chad Crawford finished fifth at 10-over 82.

    Division 2

Sam Gelven earned his first career victory, firing a 2-over 74 to secure the win.

Michael Konuch finished second at 5-over 77, while Todd Feuerhaken claimed third at 6-over 78. Mark Ralph and David Adams shared fourth at 7-over 79 to round out the money positions.

    Division 3

Ralph Allen bested an extremely strong Division 3 field, leading the way with a 9-over 81 to earn the victory.

Vincent Featherson finished second at 11-over 83, while Michael Burch and Gerald Harsley shared third at 12-over 84. Dustin Hunter, Warren Witt, and Justin Wilson finished tied for fifth at 13-over 85 to round out the money positions.

    Division 4

Clay Metzger led the way with a 10-over 82 to earn a four-shot victory over Clark Wilbanks.

Wilbanks finished at 14-over 86 to take second, while Toby Chrzanowski, Doyle (Duke) Price, and Allen Starnes shared third at 16-over 88 to round out the money positions.

    Division 5

18 holes would not be enough, as Mark Smith and Roger Eberlein both went low, finishing at 14-over 86 to force a playoff.

Smith secured the victory with a bogey on the second playoff hole after both players matched scores on the first, edging Eberlein, who continues his torrid start to the season with another strong finish.

Robert Rosenbaum finished third at 19-over 91 to round out the money positions.

With scoring opportunities throughout the day, players took advantage of the exceptional green conditions in net competition as well.

    Mid-Am Net Division

    Tucker Jensen posted a net 2-under 70 to earn a three-shot victory.

Tracy Behrle and Tiffany McMillan shared second at 1-over 73, while Justin Levine and Jared Jordan tied for fourth at 2-over 74 to round out the money positions.

    Senior Net Division

Roger Eberlein led the way with a stellar net 7-under 65 to earn a two-shot victory over Mark Smith.

Michael Konuch finished third at 3-under 69, while Vincent Featherson placed fourth at 2-under 70. Chris Price and Ralph Allen shared fifth at 1-under 71, with Todd Feuerhaken, Mark Ralph, and Jason Staetter tying for seventh at even-par 72 to round out the money positions.

The strong scoring across all divisions highlights the depth of competition in each St. Louis golf tournament this season.
