Tournament Champions
The Central Illinois Amateur Players Tour event featured competitive finishes across all five divisions along with the Mid-Am Net and Senior Net contests, with players from around Illinois and beyond posting strong rounds. The total prize pool for the day reached $7,481, with strong payouts across the field.
In Division 1, Scott Prosser of Normal earned the title with a 2-under par 70, the low round of the day. Alex Eickhoff of Springfield finished second at 71, while Reece Tennison of Normal placed third at even-par 72. Those three players were the only competitors in the division to finish at par or better.
Division 2 was won by Phil Jordan of East Peoria, who carded a 1-under par 71 to claim a six-shot victory. Dan Punkay of Champaign finished runner-up at 77, followed by Ty Jones of Springfield at 78. Jordan was the only player in the division to break par.
In Division 3, Brandon Smith of Springfield edged Daniel India of Deerfield by one shot to take the title with a 78. India finished second at 79, while Josh Peterson of Normal and Ben Minnich of Greenwood, Indiana shared third at 80 in one of the tighter races of the day.
Division 4 also came down to the wire, as Don McMahon of Decatur posted an 87 to win by a single stroke. Brandon Merano of Mahomet finished second at 88, with Greg Hodges of Normal taking third at 89. Just four shots separated first through seventh place.
In Division 5, Kyle Jones of Auburn captured the win with a 98, three shots ahead of the field. Cole Hoffman of Urbana finished second at 101, while reigning Division 5 Player of the Year Myron Schroeder of Downs placed third at 102.
The Mid-Am Net contest was won by Brandon Smith of Springfield, who added a second title to his day with a 5-under net 67. Ben Minnich of Greenwood, Indiana finished second at 70, while Josh Peterson of Normal and Kyle Jones of Auburn shared third at even-par 72. Jimmy Pulis of Pekin and Colton Kool of Eureka tied for fifth at 73.
The Senior Net contest saw Daniel India of Deerfield also earn a second podium finish, posting a 5-under net 67 for the win. Phil Jordan of East Peoria continued his strong day with a runner-up finish at 68. Michael Konuch of Maryville placed third at 71, followed by Simay Souvannarath of Imperial, Missouri at 74 and Don McMahon of Decatur at 75.
Closest to the Pin prizes were claimed by Ethan Anderson on Hole 4 and John Courtney on Hole 13, with each player earning $515.
Overall, the event produced strong competition throughout the leaderboard, with multiple divisions decided by narrow margins and several standout performances across the field.
