Tournament Champions
What a great day out at The Lynx Golf Course for this year’s tournament! We were treated to sunny skies and temperatures in the low 60s — about as good as you can ask for on the course. Conditions were solid, the competition was fun, and there were plenty of memorable shots throughout the day.
The only thing more aggressive than some of the pin placements? The mosquitoes.
Those blood suckers were absolutely relentless from the first tee to the final putt. If you stood still for more than five seconds, you were basically donating a pint. Safe to say the bug spray became just as important as the golf clubs.
In Division 1, Caden Bowling held off a late push from Cassidy Jackson to secure the championship by four shots. Bowling carded a round of +13 (85) to earn the victory and take home the Division 1 title after a steady performance throughout the day.
Division 2 saw an impressive performance from Ben Elgrably, who made the most of his APT debut by taking home the win with a round of +6 (78). Elgrably held off former tour winner Matt Steensma in a strong showing that announced his arrival on the tour in style.
In Division 3, Steve Bach continued building his tour résumé by capturing his second career APT victory. Bach fired a solid round of +18 (90) and managed to hold off perennial contender John Lyszczyk to claim the title.
Division 4 featured another memorable moment as Brian Ramsey captured his first career APT victory. Ramsey battled through the challenging conditions to earn a breakthrough win and add his name to the list of tour champions.
Division 5 saw Kyle Sisson secure his second career tour victory after holding off a late charge from fellow tour winner Jack Huminsky. Sisson stayed composed down the stretch to close out another impressive performance and add another title to his growing APT résumé.
Thank you to everyone who came out and competed to make it another great APT event. A huge thank you as well to The Lynx Golf Course and Steve for providing an incredible venue and outstanding hospitality throughout the day. We appreciate all the work that goes into hosting a great tournament and are already looking forward to coming back next season.
