Kim, Bayless Highlight Gold Mountain Cascade Champions

The Seattle Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour traveled to Gold Mountain Golf Club – Cascade Course in Bremerton, Washington, on Saturday for another competitive stop on the 2026 schedule. Regarded as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier public golf facilities, Gold Mountain has hosted numerous championship events and once again challenged players with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and fast greens.

With valuable Seattle Chapter Player of the Year points on the line, competitors continued building momentum as the season heads toward its final stretch.

    Division 1

With only one competitor in the field, Jeremy Kim (Seattle Chapter) made the most of the opportunity, carding an even-par 72 to capture the Division 1 title. Kim’s round featured four birdies and demonstrated the steady play required to tame the Cascade Course.

    Division 2

Division 2 produced one of the strongest performances of the day as Corey Bayless (Seattle Chapter) fired a 4-over 76to earn a two-shot victory.

Andrew Black (Seattle Chapter) finished runner-up at 6-over 78, while Joe Christ-Kim (Seattle Chapter) and Kevin Murray (Seattle Chapter) shared third after matching rounds of 7-over 79. The tightly packed leaderboard kept the battle for the podium in doubt throughout the afternoon.

    Division 3

Consistency proved to be the difference in Division 3, where Indranil Chakravarty (Seattle Chapter) posted a winning score of 6-over 78.

Nick Girard (Seattle Chapter) finished just one stroke back after carding 7-over 79, while Somesh Razdan (Seattle Chapter) claimed third with an 84.

    Division 4

Division 4 required extra holes to determine a champion after Harsha Yellamareddydgari (Seattle Chapter) and Lee Martin (Seattle Chapter) each finished tied at 6-over 78.

Yellamareddydgari prevailed in the playoff to secure the victory, while Jason Stone (Portland Chapter) rounded out the top three with a 7-over 79. The playoff provided an exciting finish to one of the day’s most competitive divisions.

    Division 5

Michael Maxted (Seattle Chapter) claimed the Division 5 title after posting a 29-over 101, earning another victory for the home chapter.

    Looking Ahead

With another successful event complete, attention now shifts to Salish Cliffs Golf Club, where Seattle players will once again compete for valuable Seattle Chapter Player of the Year points.

As the schedule continues to wind down, every finish becomes increasingly important in the race for season-long honors and qualification opportunities, making each tournament a key stop on the road to the postseason.

Congratulations to all of this week’s winners, and thank you to everyone who competed at Gold Mountain Golf Club – Cascade Course. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the first tee at Salish Cliffs.
