Tournament Champions
70 Players teed up on a beautiful Monday at the Arnold Palmer Signature Course at Fawn Lake Country Club. Fawn Lake was in amazing condition and punitive for those that strayed into the rough.
In Division 1, all was tied between Shane Studer (77) and Garrett Emch (77) but a tie constraint for Garrett kept him from participating in the playoff so Studer was awarded the victory. DJ Tekle finished 3 shots back in 3rd (80).
Aaron Grocholski blistered Fawn Lake with 4 birdies and shot 75 to beat Sean Newsom (77) by 2 shots. Newcomer, CJ Szuba finished 3rd with a 78.
AC Rendon shot an APT career low of 79 to win by 5 Shots over John Lambert (84). Travis Crawley finished 3rd (85).
James Sims shot a season low of 86 to beat Willie Graves (89) by 3 shots. Rolf Granger (90) and Mike Barton (90) tied for 3rd.
Kenton Morris (91) took a one shot victory over Dillon Thompson (92). Ian Maggiacomo (94) finished in 3rd place
AC Rendon also took home the Mid Am Net Crown with a Net 66 to win by four shots (70) over Kenton Morris.
There was a very tight Senior Net Championship with James Sims (Net 70), winning by one shot over Mike Vawter (Net 71). There was a 4way tie for 3rd (72) between John Lambert, Willie Graves, Travis Crawly and Sean Newsom.

Virginia Capital has a sold out field this coming Friday on June 19th at Pendleton Golf Club which will also be the host of the 2026 Virginia Capital Chapter Championship.
Virginia Capital has two – one day events on June 27th at Hobbs Hole and June 28th at Mattaponi Springs. Both courses are in great shape.
