What a day! Some great golf and scores from the players this weekend! We did have a little start, stop with lightening delays and then start again. Appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding that players safety is always a top priority.
The weather eventually cleared up and
FIRST, we have to mention Tracy Hanback in Division 3, got an ACE, HOLE-IN-ONE, on #11 playing at roughly 165 yards!!! This was Tracy’s 3rd Hole-In-One in his life! Congrats on behalf of Wichita APT!
🏆 🏆 🏆 D3 this week has that ACE by Tracy Hanback securing his W in Division 3. Shooting a solid +9, 81 43 on the front, 38 on the back. Was a tight match a lot of the day and that group was on fire! 3 of the top 4 finishers came from that group! Ricky Muniz was just two shots off of the winner, with an 83 and Rodney Michael had another great showing with a 4th place finish!
🏆 D1 Ryan “I’m coming home” Walker has a lot of course knowledge here at Hidden Lakes. Working here for a few years and playing the course a lot showed in his -3, 69 finish. It wasn’t all that easy as he had to hit a clutch putt on 18, for birdie to secure his win at Hidden Lakes. Visiting Kansas City APT Member, Long Drive master, Matt Thorman played some great golf and represented well with a -2, 70 on the day.
🏆 🏆 D2 winner Rory… I mean, Travis Clifton, showed up today in a big way! Shot 40 on the front and went LIGHTS OUT on the back with a 34 that included birdies on 10, 14, and 15 and some other close chances! Great round by Travis! GooD LiFE Golf Lab, Player of the Year Race leader Ryan Walton, Jason Dodd and Noah Harlan all finished with a +7, 79 to tie for 2nd place.
🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 D4 was also a very tight race!!! With the top 4 spots all within 4 strokes anything could have happened. Steve Webb and Scott Miller both playing solid golf as of recent and a great round posted by Rex Robinson, couldn’t take out the visiting Kansas City Chapter player, Jeff Rader again this week. Jeff went +11, 83 with a birdie and his only double of the day was on hole 2. Otherwise, he continues to play very steady golf and winning Tournaments. Congrats on another W Jeff.
🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 D5 winner, visiting from the Oklahoma City Chapter, Max Flowers was consistent all day. +17, 89 finish, scored 44 on the front and 45 on the back to secure his first Wichita APT win. Wichita APT member Tanner Hurt had his best round of the season with a 47 front/44back, 91 finish and is starting to get used to this tournament golf stuff. We look forward to seeing what he will bring to the SEASON FINALE this next weekend!
