The Amateur Players Tour Western Kentucky Chapter held the Western Hills Championship on Saturday, June 27, at Western Hills Golf Course in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. A huge thank you to Darren, Gary and the rest of the Western Hills Golf Course staff in support of our event during some challenging and rapidly changing weather patterns. In Division One, Rodney Jackson shot 74 and birdied the 18th hole to hold off Houston George (77) and newcomer Gabe Webb (78), earning his fourth win of the year. Dallas Gates posted a 78 to claim his first Division Two victory of the season, with Brandon Morgan (82) finishing second. In Division Three, Matt Love shot 78 to edge James Newkirk (79), followed by Will Houston, Adam Martino, and Paul Harris, who each shot 83. Wyatt Lovell earned his first Amateur Players Tour win with an 88 in Division Four, ahead of Nick Johnson (90) and Jimmy Murphy (92). In a back and forth battle all day, Rachel Guthrie closed with three straight pars and an 87 to defeat Michelle Martino (92) in Division Five. Will Houston won his second Mid-Am Net contest in Western Kentucky with a 73, edging Nick Johnson by two strokes. In Senior Net, Rachel Guthrie captured the trophy with a 5-under-par 67, whileJames Newkirk (68) and Matt Love (69) kept the competition tight throughout the day. Congratulations to all the winners!
